Hi, any word on this?
hi,
Upgrade to php5
Shouldn’t you warn people before they upgrade that you’re going to break their plugin?
“Warning: mktime() expects parameter 1 to be long, string given in /sata1/home/users/malder/www/www.mulder.kiev.ua/wp-content/plugins/live-countdown-timer/calculateTime.php on line 7″
PHP Version 5.2.11, version 2.1.0.5
hmm.. what version of the plugin do you have?
please make sure you have 2.1.0.5(current latest version)
I get the same error. Same configuration, and definitely 2.1.0.5. WP 2.9.1
What’s more. I can’t get rid of the error even by uninstalling the plugin! (Take a look and you’ll see what I mean.)
How do I fix this? How do I get back to the previous version?
Hi, I have WP 2.8.5 and LCT doesnt work. It show only the Timezone choose in Settings:
http://www.niceman.dk/wp-content/uploads/lct.jpg
Dont know what to do.
I have installed it directly to my server. Does it need 777 CHmod?
Hi,
read comments above before posting…
Reinstall plugin and make sure you have php 5
My PHP is 5.1.6-23.2.el5_3 .
hmm. you might not have the latest version installed.. if you do, write me an email on the contact form.. i will help you fix this
Same problem, php 5 is installed plugin reinstalled multiple times, chmod’d 777, the select for the timezone dropdown is truncated. and the rest of the page never displays.
Thought it might also help if I posted the source of the admin page where the select is truncated:
Live Countdown Timer
Time Zone:
same error, can i have the old version plugin? it was working fine.
Me too, can I have the old version, I am having the same problem.
My countdown timer was working fine apart from an annoying glitch that kept switching the active window, so I upgraded and now I get this message on my site instead of the countdown.
Warning: mktime() expects parameter 1 to be long, string given in /home5/benespho/public_html/4wheelsandbaby/wp-content/plugins/live-countdown-timer/calculateTime.php on line 7
I appreciate your help.
Bene
What is PHP code so that I may insert it into at any place as I want to use it at header position. thanks
there isn’t any so far.. sorry
Hi,
I tried pastimg [LCT-|-embed] into my post nothing comes out. It only show the link as cose as text. Occasional it would show up as intended. And I can’t do any alignment on it either. Can I have two [LCT-|-embed] in one post?. Its not working if the answer is yes. it. I am using the latest PHP5 and higher and the latest version of the plugin too 2.1.0.5 . It does not work in Safari . Any suggestions?.
only 1 LCT in 1 post so far
Safari for pc or mac?
You are doing something wrong if [LCT-|-embed] is not working…
PHP and plugin are ok.
Hi. Great plugin, but it’s just missing one major feature (at least for me that is!). Could it not be tweaked so that it could also be used as a count UP timer?
I’m currently living abroad and am using my web site (www.jos.co.uk) as a travel blog. I have been searching for a plug-in to allow me to add a ‘how many days I’ve been away’ count up timer, but none I’ve found look as good or are as neat as yours.
What do you think – is this possible? Both a count DOWN and a count UP timer in one handy plug-in? I hope so
Thanks, James.
I had a similar request a few weeks back… sorry but live countDOWN timer would be a little strange to go up and would defy it’s whole purpose.. and i don’t want to get people confused and angry because of too many features…
Maybe another plugin another time..
Oh, never mind then :’( Worth an ask…
I’ve been searching for a count up timer and don’t seem to find anything as attractive looking as your plugin. But I have come across lots of people looking for the same thing as me, so I think your ‘Live Countup Timer’ would be appreciated by many if you get the chance.
Regards, James
Hi, I really liked the glowing numerals in the old version. They seem to be gone in the new version. Without them, I won’t be upgrading. Is it there still but I just can’t see how it is set up?
glow is removed in the latest version.. sorry
Ciprian:
at what point do you just throw up your hands and run around the room screaming? Thank you for your excellent plugin, I do appreciate all of your time and effort at no price to me (or the others raising their hands above).
How about making multiple instances available? I have multiple sidebars appearing on different pages.
Thanks for the plugin. The timer was centered in the old version…how do I center it in this one? Thanks.
Hi, Thanks a lot for your plug in, it’s great.
I have a small probléme when a make a change and click “Update” a have this:
Warning: fopen(http://events.appchain.com/lctConnect.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fjacquelinemarcy.perso.sfr.fr&t=Destination+Australie&d=12%2F24%2F2009%3A19%3A20%3A0) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Operation now in progress in /var/www/j/ja/jac/jacquelinemarcy.perso.sfr.fr/public_html/wp-content/plugins/live-countdown-timer/live-countdown-timer.php on line 166
But the change is made and it everthing look ok.
Must i do something ?
Good stuff. The only question I have about the plugin is there anyway to align the timer to center? Tried using alignment codes before it but couldn’t get it to work.
right now, only if you are a coder…next version you will have options in admin for alignment (because i’ve been getting so many requests on this)
Great, so where does the code go? I tried a bunch of things but had no luck. Thanks.
I’m currently showing only “Days” in my LCT, how can I center the bubble in the sidebar window?
Love this plugin, but no Australian time zone in it!! Can you please please add that, tx.
Agree, please add Australian time zone!!
I can’t install this plug in as it’s causing a fatal error due to time zone. (line 45 of live-countdown-timer.php)
Any tips for a workaround?
thanks
Hi,
Can someone please tell me how to center the timer?
I would appreciate it.
Thanks!
wait for a update or go into the plugin CSS
I’m a novice at coding and I did go into the CSS and tried to ‘margin: 0 auto’ and ‘text-align: center’ where I thought it should go (or where firebug told me to put it) and it didn’t work.
When will the update be available?
I can’t seem to get the timer to center on my page in wordpress. Any insight? or tips?
Thanks!
Ciprian – great app! I had tried a different countdown and I didn’t like the way it looked. Yours does exactly what I wanted it to do with the live second by second countdown. I was able to get it installed and setup without a glitch. Looks great. Thanks!
Happy to have helped.
we had your plugin enabled and it actually crashed our host server. It filled my error log with this:
WordPress database error Got error 28 from storage engine for query SELECT t.*, tt.*, tr.object_id FROM wp_terms AS t INNER JOIN wp_term_taxonomy AS tt ON tt.term_id = t.term_id INNER JOIN wp_term_relationships AS tr ON tr.term_taxonomy_id = tt.term_taxonomy_id WHERE tt.taxonomy IN (‘category’, ‘post_tag’) AND tr.object_id IN (143) ORDER BY t.name ASC made by require, wp, WP->main, WP->query_posts, WP_Query->query, WP_Query->get_posts, update_post_caches, update_object_term_cache, wp_get_object_terms
Any ideas on fixing this? I would like to use this as it is a great looking plugin. Thanks.
That’s not the plugin query.. it’s another plugin..
yep you are right, my mistake. I thought I had narrowed it down. Regardless, any idea on what that rouge plugin is?
Is this working with the latest version of WP? I added it as a widget, but nothing is showing up on my website…
SO SORRY! Had to delete my cache…works GREAT!
Love the app, set up exactly the way i was looking for it. one thing I was hoping to get (if possible), is there a php code i could use directly in the sidebar or header of a site instead of just using the “post” or “widget” format?
thanks
