jQ Wordpress Theme – Review
Each time I look at a theme I’m thinking: “What’s so special about this one?”. Well, apart from the design that is OK, I was really impressed with the functionality. I’ts not how it works, anything can be done these days using the magic of software (jquery in this case), it’s more the idea of how it’s supposed to work. Like someone knew that this would be a great idea and implemented it. I’m talking about expandable posts with one click and sliding while doing that. This functionality is available per post and per all posts, expanding and hiding the content of each or all…
To get an idea on how the posts look with the content hidden:
The first post has the content hidden because user has clicked on the little button the red arrow is pointing. The great purpose of this is to have a better visual field of more post titles… That’s cool if you want to get organized and very pleasant to watch. There’s also another button at the top right above the sidebar that expands and hides all the posts (so you don’t have to click each one).
Great idea, great implementation, but it’s not something that should be left as it is(like any other thing) there’s always more room for innovation.
The Admin Panel
From such a a popular theme, you’d say the admin panel is a tabbed complex one.. right? (wrong!).. it’s a 1 page simple but OK version of what a admin panel should be. But HEY, it’s a free theme, you can’t have too many expectations now, right?
You can change the background color using a field where you have to write the actual hex code.. now.. i don’t know about you but I don’t like to search on Google for a hex color generator each time i need a color to see how it looks. No, if I am not a developer, I need a thing that I just click and it pops up a color picker and i just click!
The only other useful thing I could find in the “huge” admin panel page of the theme was the “show Sidebar on the left” check box . Rest is just semi useful (to me at least). Here’s how the admin page looks like:
Did not find any bugs in this theme and it’s seems to be working well on all browsers.

Very nice, but do you know how to remove the button? It’s not an image, right?
