  1. I cannot seem to configure the BC Plug-in after activation. It would be nice to have some detailed instructions as to how to edit the settings. I am using the most recent version of Thesis as my theme.
Any help would be appreciated, as I would like some background color and do not know how to it by any other manner. Thanks for your time.

      Hi,
Thesis has a class in the body tag… so if you want to change the background color, you need to set the type to class and write the name “custom” withouth the quotes instead of the body.
      Try that ;)
Let me know if you have trouble.. i will help you fix this.
I’ve been thinking of making some videos on how to use the plugin…

    Hello,
Any way to allow any user to change the background of the blog by selecting from a preset list of images for the background…not just the administrator?
    Thanks.

I’m new to css. I am decent with html, but css is really new to me. I installed your background changer 2.3 and was unable to change the background on the website. I simply want to change it from white on white to white (where text is) on bgcolor #669acc. Where do I make these changes in the css?

    • admin says:

@Heather: You need to pick the html tag or class or id where you want to change the background color and choose what you want to replace it with. Usually the body tag is enough to change the background color (that’s the default in the plugin) .. but from design to design it may be different. With background changer you can change any background inside a html TAG you want. The tag has to have a id or class or has to be unique (body).
Let me know if i can help more…

Hi! This helped me a lot and is lot easier than editing the CSS files and uploading them back. I was able to edit the background color, page color but not container color. I am not sure why but, I will try a little more.

For the readers, here are few more options that can be changed in thesis:

Hi, I have managed to change the background colour in the sidebar areas but don’t know how to change it behind the text, ie the body area of the site.

    Please advise.

Thanks Ciprian but I don’t even know what Id’s and classes are?! When do you think the tutorial will be ready?

hi. is it possible to specify a particular colour/image for certain pages?

I’m interested in the above as well

It would be great to be able to make the background image linkable. i.e. An text input field in the configuration settings where you can enter a URL and when you click the background image in your blog, you are taken to that URL. Target options would be good as well (_blank etc.)
